About point this WAY'S people and How our gsp's came about

All about us:

We strive to breed healthy, quality hunters & show quality German Shorthairs. To include good temperments in the field and in the home with the family.

Believe it or not, I used to breed French bulldogs for approx 15 years, then I met my avid hunting husband.
Eventually we decided to switch to a hunting breed, so I placed all my French Bulldogs into pet homes and began the searching & breeds studying to decide what breed to go with. I loved the german short hairs, my husband was a die hard Labrador guy at the time.
We had quite the debate back and forth, I heard, "no GSP'S are just way to high strung" and many other fables of the breed from my husband.
Then we met the most awesome tempermented GSP a person could imagine. He changed my husband's view of GSP'S around 100%.
So 3 years later, with the assistance from a few very good breeders, we now had the start up of our kennel,to include a move to 25 acres of property, next to acres and acres of dnr land, near the turtle Flambeau Flowage in Northern Wisconsin.
As we continued to grow.
We searched wide and far to start with very nice healthy, quality good tempered dogs, with so much natural ability bred into them, they have been a breeze to train in and out of the field.
So we hope to continue to share our enjoyment of the breed, and provide others whom are looking for the same type of GSP'S.

Update on us & our dogs, we are now at 9 years running with our GSP'S, still loving every minute of it, as of 2021, we have finally stepped into the NAVHDA hunt testing. We had our first 3 youngest dogs at the time start there NA training/ testing, as the hunter of our team, decided he wanted his wife to bird hunt with him (his wife being me) he worked it, for me to do the training and testing on our very first testing with Coal. So i started at ground zero, with a local chapter that has been wonderful! COAL got a prize 1 on his NA test, and i have been having so much fun training and testing, that now, i dont share with the husband. He gets to regular hunt them, but the training and testing is all mine now, well it was until 2024, now our 10 year old grandson decided he wants to train and do tests during the summers with us. So he will be working with and testing one of our up and coming girls in the 2025 training season.

When i showed up for Coal & I first day of training at the chapter training day, Coal was approximately 1 year old, i hadnt done any training with him, because i had to learn as well, everyone there were very willing to share training tips, ideas, how to start with what steps would be next, they even made them selves avilable out side of our monthly training day!

We are breeders that do our best to be avilable for anyone with GSP questions, and to also be avilable to our customers for the life of there dog and beyond.
Another addition to our program, we are now also using Embark breed specific full health and traits DNA testing as well.
